Job Details

Job Responsibilities

• Leading the drafting and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages
• Improving the quality, completeness, and consistency of account reconciliations
• Ensuring all significant accounts and balances are supported by account reconciliations and proper documentation
• Reviewing and approving analyses, reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting packages
• Ensuring business activities and transactions are completely and accurately recorded in the proper accounting period according to IFRS
• Assisting in the research and evaluation of accounting positions and the drafting of technical accounting memoranda in accordance with IFRS
• Maintaining and updating finance policies and procedures
• Implementing and monitoring compliance with internal control policies and procedures
• Providing technical and operational support and training to accounting managers and staff
• Interacting with and providing instructions to external accounting consultants (e.g., statutory accounts) and valuation specialists
• Working with global accounting teams, local accounting firms, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely submission of local statutory accounts and reports.
• Leading the implementation of ERP systems and other accounting solutions
• Improving efficiency and productivity of the global finance accounting team
• Managing, developing and setting goals for staff
• Coordinating and leading external audits serving as primary contact for the auditors and internal resources
• Assisting VP Finance in M&A transactions and integrating acquired entities

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting
• Certified public accountant or chartered accountant
• Minimum of 5 years public accounting combined with a minimum of 2 years of corporate operations finance
• Strong technical accounting and research skills
• Experience with SAP S/4 Hana and Hyperion is strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of IFRS
