Analyst Decatur IL, USAGBS Finance ServicesThis is an exempt level position.Position Summary:Analysts at ADM have proven ability to think and work independently.
They possess the ability to identify problems or opportunities for improvement and regularly propose solutions to problems.
Analysts are expected to independently manage projects of increasing complexity and have a strong understanding of accounting systems and processes.
They must demonstrate a high level of self-confidence in dealing with management at various levels and various administrative, commercial, and operations areas, as applicable.
They should be considered an expert in assigned areas and have demonstrated ability to see projects through to completion.
Analysts have no direct supervisory responsibilities but do serve as a coach and mentor for those in the Accountant and Clerk roles.Responsibilities:Complete monthly accounting work per US GAAP guidelines and perform relevant analysisComplete annual review/revision of Key Financial Controls (SOX requirements) and process flows and work to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controlsWork with relevant business partners to provide insight and analysis into financial resultsPrepare and analyze financial statements and/or supporting schedulesPerform quarterly analysis and reportingWork independently with little supervisor interventionEngage proactively in the design and implementation of process change.Required Skills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customersAdvanced knowledge in Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Internal ControlsFinancial Analysis and operationsKnowledge of Governance, Risk and ComplianceDesigning Queries and Reports using Financial SystemsEducation Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in accountingExperience:3+ years of accounting experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and large ERP systems a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to safely and successful perform the essential job functions consistent with qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standardsStandard office safety regulationsAdditional information:This position offers a complete benefit package, including 401K/ESOP, pension, health, life and dental insurance.ADM is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age disability and veteran status.About ADM:At ADM, we unlock the power of nature to provide access to nutrition worldwide.
