AR Specialist/ Staff Accountant
– $19 per hour

A premier seafood processor and marketer is looking to appoint an AR Specialist/ Staff Accountant.
Reporting directly to the accounts receivable supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the accounts receivable functions, including month-end closing, billing, collection and processing of invoices, and record keeping.
Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities of an AR Specialist/ Staff Accountant include, but are not limited to: Receives completed sales orders from customer service; verifies accuracy and completeness of all required information, including current pricing, extensions, discounts applied, and shipping and handling charges.
Enters invoices into ERP system for the company as well as teaming partners.
Prints billing invoices daily and mails to customers.
Prints monthly statements and sends them to customers.
Prints, verifies, and maintains accounts receivable invoice records, sales and cost of sales reports, open and aging reports, and journals.
Receives checks and prepares deposit slips.
Prepares and keys remittance advices for posting checks received.
Communicates with customers regarding their billing and assists the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with collections.

The Person The key skills and qualities of an AR Specialist/ Staff Accountant are: A high school diploma.
Coursework in accounting preferred.
Experience with billing or accounts receivable preferred.
Familiarity with accounting and spreadsheet applications (Excel) preferred.
Excellent data entry skills.
Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
