This is a Full-time position in Stratford, CA posted March 4, 2022.

AMS is expanding; and is now hiring for our Hybrid External Wholesaling role in California.

This Regional Vice President, Hybrid External Wholesaling position will cover multiple channels, and will include the distribution of life & annuities.

Ideal candidates will have experience wholesaling within the Independent and Financial Institutions Channel, and be located within the designated territory.

Candidates must have extensive knowledge of the annuity space, including but not limited to Fixed Index, RILA and traditional Variable Annuities.Note: This position requires extensive knowledge of life and annuity product offerings, and will require extensive travel, approximately 50-75%.Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with financial advisors to incorporate annuities & life insurance into their client’s financial plans Educate financial advisors on financial products and the process of selling annuities and life insurance Conduct meetings, seminars and training workshops to current and prospective advisors to increase the knowledge of available product lines, describe our value proposition and present our products in the context of sales ideas Strategically plan and manage travel and entertainment budget Work in conjunction with the other team members assigned within geographic area to identify and foster leads generated by referrals, ad campaigns and territory canvassing Responsible for keeping financial advisors informed of rapidly changing products and service agreements Must actively develop new relationships with financial advisors to foster sales growth, especially in key accounts, as well as servicing existing producing agents Provide competitive intelligence to sales and product management on a regular basis, as well as reporting and managing contacts (face-to-face) Collaborate with SVP, Business Development, on identification and development of opportunities within the territory Performs other duties as assigned by managementKey Expectations: Extensive Travel (50-75%) Appointment expectations: 16-20 per week virtual and in-person Maintain Outlook Calendar and AMS Intranet Activity Meeting detail and notes should be entered directly following appointment Notes should include topics of conversation, case information, next steps for internal partner/follow-up and date of next scheduled appointment/event Maintain minimum territory production standards Territory based, updated as needed to reflect current territory opportunity Weekly planning/review meeting with Internal Partners Effectively Manage Travel & Expense budget to grow salesWhat ideal qualifications would help someone to be successful?

A BA/BS degree in finance/marketing desired or equivalent work experience FINRA Series 6 (and Series 63, depending on state) and State Annuity/Life Insurance licenses required Minimum 3 years or more industry experience in an Internal/External Wholesaling role (Annuities and Life Insurance wholesaling required) Experience wholesaling variable, structured, index and fixed annuities, Life Insurance & Hybrid LTC Haveexcellent presentation skills and the ability to learn new product quickly Fluency in Cantonese is very desirable for this position Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required
