The candidate would be responsible for maintenance, implementation and support for Ally’s LAN/WAN and datacenter infrastructure.
The candidate will provide quality service and support to clients, and hands-on support and technical resolution for complex problems.
This position will be Hybrid remote meaning you will most from home, except when required to support a branch effort on-site in your designated regionThe Work ItselfSupport and implementation of Infrastructure Strategic Plans.Configure, deploy, and support LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and other network infrastructure devices.Build/replace network hardware and software configurations per design, cooperatively working with network architects and related support teams.Perform in-depth protocol and network analysis to determine root cause of application and network performance related problems.Responsible for working with the NOC responding to Incidents, ensuring that incidents are effectively, managed, and resolved with full communication of status, plans, and actions to management.Monitor and oversee network performance, capacity, and tuning related network components.
Bringing forward new ideas, providing recommendations to enhance network performance, reliability, and support capabilities.Support network automation systems related to configuration management, rule development, policy enforcement and reporting via Solarwinds.Manage service transitions for new deployments to ensure quality products are delivered into the production environment.Provide support for critical network problems in your region.Updates master documentation to reflect as-built configurations.Manage service transitions for new deployments to ensure quality products are delivered into the production environment.Independently identify, troubleshoot, document, and escalate complex problems.Build/replace network hardware and software configurations per design.The Skills You BringBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience5 years of experience administering and operating complex network environments.Fortinet SD-Wan FW and routing experienceExperience with Arista Switching and Cloud VisionExperience with Ciena Network DevicesExperience with automation and scripting using tools like DNA or Gluware.Experience with Splunk, SolarWinds or similar open-source tools like Nagios, Zabbix, LibreNMS, etc.Experience with Palo Alto Security SuiteExtensive understanding of networking technology, such as routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching (traditional, multipath and fabric).Strong knowledge and experience of firewalls, VPN and wireless technologies.Experience with Cisco Prime & ISEExperience with Ekahau and performing wireless site surveysExperience with automation tools and scripting languages e.G.
