Accounting Tech/Analyst

Carefree Water Company, the municipal water utility for Carefree, AZ, is looking for an Accounting Tech/Analyst to assist in our busy office.

Work will be permanent full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7am to 4pm with a 6 month probationary period.

Starting pay rate will be commensurate with experience.

Expected pay range is between $18 and $25 per hour depending upon experience.

The candidate should be capable of handling any of the following: daily accounts receivables (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), customer service functions, and basic human resources tasks.

A fundamental understanding of accounting processes and controls is essential.

Advanced accounting knowledge and accounting training is a plus.

Assisting in general ledger entries, sales tax payments, budget development, and audit reviews may be assigned as applicable.

Excellent front office customer service skills are critical to this position.

Customer service duties include in-person, over the telephone, and via the internet.

Other typical office duties will include filing, data entry, using a variety of common software programs (Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, etc.), and creating and maintaining paper and electronic documents.
