DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for setting up and maintaining vendor accounts and processing vendor payments.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:+ Sets up and maintains vendor accounts.+ Reconciles vendor statements for accuracy.+ Works directly with vendors requesting invoice copies as needed.+ Works with internal departments to get invoices approved and processed.+ Processes vendor invoices for payment.+ Reviews accounts and data for accuracy.+ Resolves vendor invoice inquires verbally, in writing or other communication as needed.+ Maintains sub-ledger.+ Supports accounting department staff as needed.+ Adheres to all customer care standards.+ Actively cares and advocates safety at Western States.
Adhere to all applicable safety policies, procedures and standards.+ Serves as a team member in support of Western States’ strategic programs, projects, and initiatives.+ Work within and promote corporate vision, mission, and values of the organization.+ Performs other duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:+ Proficient in the use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems required.+ Ability to learn enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.+ Professional verbal and written communication skills.+ Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with others.+ Consistent attendance.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:+ Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).+ 1 year minimum of general accounting experience required.+ Knowledge of accounting software preferred.+ ERP software experience preferred+ Must be able to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
