Accounting Manager

job summary: My client in the Jacksonville area is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team on a direct hire basis reporting to the Controller.

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for collaborating with segments of the business on financials and financial reporting.

They will also provide general support for corporate management and help manage the monthly close process.

– 85,000 per year work hours: 7 to 3 education: Bachelor’s degree experience: 3 Years responsibilities: Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in formats required for U.S.

and parent company reporting.

Coordinate the preparation of requests from the external financial statement auditors for the quarterly reviews and annual financial statement audit.

Roles will include but are not limited to assisting in maintaining company narratives, assisting in testing of procedures, and coordinating the requests from external auditors.

Prepare certain confidential reconciliations and journal entries for month-end close.

Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by subordinates, including but not limited to income and property taxes, inventory, fixed assets, intercompany receivable/payable, and accounts receivable.

Technical Accounting Research as needed.

Establish procedures and create templates to facilitate budgeting and forecasting for balance sheet, P&L and cash flow projections.

Assist in the preparation and timely completion of the annual budget and quarterly forecast updates for the company, subsidiaries, and consolidated information.

Special projects as needed.

Review sales & use tax returns and tax returns prepared by external CPA firm.
