Accounting Lead

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client is seeking a Senior Manager of Technical Accounting & Reporting. Role and Responsibilities

• Senior Manager will research, evaluate, and document accounting matters, conclusions, and financial reporting implications on complex and non-standard transactions
• Build and maintain set of accounting whitepapers and policies
• Serve as an accounting and financial reporting specialist to the organization
• As a Senior Manager, you will timely respond to accounting & financial reporting inquiries and explain accounting matters and concepts to all levels within the organization
• Timely assess the impact of new and updated standards and recommend accounting treatment
• Assess new accounting standards that impact the business and ensure the company’s accounting policies are timely updated and consistently applied
• Lead all aspects of and drive the implementation of new standards and partner with other members of Finance & Accounting organization to operationalize changes in the accounting policies
• Senior Managers partner with legal and corporate development to ensure mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, restructuring, and similar transactions are properly accounting for
• Partner with other team members, including legal and investor relations to prepare and/or review financial statement disclosures for the quarterly and the annual reporting to the SEC
• Timely facilitate the annual/quarterly US GAAP audit and reviews
• Work closely with internal and external auditors on timely resolution of accounting, financial reporting, and internal control matters
• Senior Managers lead and review the preparation of management reporting
• Build and lead technical accounting and financial reporting team

Job Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Licensed CPA
• 10 + years of experience with public company
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with SOX 404 compliance
• ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle knowledge
• Experience with Big4 or regional accounting firms
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently and effectively to delivery timely and quality results
• Comfortable navigating through complex accounting matters and arriving at recommendations and conclusions
• Works well in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to develop strong relationships across functional areas and communicate complex subject matters effectively and efficiently
