This individual will have extremely high integrity and demonstrated experience being a self-starter while taking the initiative to identify and solve problems and/or inefficiencies and mitigate risk.
The responsibilities are diverse and geared towards ensuring the Portfolio Managers and Partners can focus their time on creating value for their clients through better portfolio returns on investment.
Accounting & Business Management (40%)
• Develop and present to CFO monthly and quarterly partner reporting package
• Prepare and present month end close of 3 operating subsidiaries
• Manage Cybersecurity training.
(Review, examine, define, and implement)
• Perform Cybersecurity threat assessments and coordinate penetration testing
• Perform risk assessments, document internal controls, and implement procedures to adequately mitigate risk
• Optimize expense reporting and recommend changes to process or vendor utilization
• Reconcile expense reporting system to AMEX on a monthly basis and record in financial system
• Perform periodic audits of SMA files and system data
• Maintain A/P System (Enter invoices, maintain vendors)
• Maintain books and records of landlord’s legal entity (reconciliation – AJE
– disbursements)
• Prepare year-end audited financial statements for private funds and manage the timely completion of the external audit process for private funds
• Assist with Book to Tax reconciliation for tax returns of private funds
• Manage the external annual compilation and tax return of the firm
• Implement/track key performance metrics related to responsiveness/quality control Compliance (25-30%)
• Maintain all necessary regulatory and jurisdictional documentation to support international marketing of the firm’s offshore fund
• Refine and implement enhanced Service Provider Oversight program
• Perform third party oversight due diligence visits
• Canadian Registration Management – Annual filings
• Perform mutual fund monthly and quarterly Compliance Reporting
• Monitor mutual fund liquidity in accordance with policies
• Assess new regulatory legislation, develop best practices, document compliance policy and procedures
• Monitor Soft Dollar and Best Execution activities and prepare quarterly reporting
• Attend professional conferences and participate in continuing education training Data Warehousing / System Administration (25%)
• Maintain and ensure integrity of various systems’ data via management of user permissions and various data feeds
• Drive new data warehouse implementation with CFO Marketing Support (5-10%)
• Manage one-off client service projects from start to finish (additional marketing collateral, responses to client or prospective client queries) by working with the firm’s existing marketing and distribution team
• Work directly with team to continuously improve client communication and marketing materials
• Manage monthly, quarterly and event specific sales and marketing reporting requirements.
• Update investor and partner data through the firm’s client relationship software

Job Requirements: REQUIRED:
– Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or related area of study
– Minimum of 3 years of audit experience in a Big 4 or Top 10 national CPA firm
– private industry experience
– Actual experience performing data entry
– Participated in implementation, data migration, design or integration of accounting systems
– Experience serving as System Admin or other capacity in which you demonstrate knowledge of how to utilize system controls and workflows
– Manipulation of large data sets within Excel
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
– Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills
– Process development and design Preferred:
– Risk Assessment and Internal Controls documentation and testing
