Accounting Clerk

Ref ID: 03240-0011439922 Classification: Accounting Clerk Compensation: $14.25 to $16.50 hourly Accountemps has an open position for an Accounting Clerk, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

This is a long-term temporary-to-full-time position based in the Blythewood, South Carolina area.

Your responsibilities in this role
– Help Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
– Companywide accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
– Compose statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources
– Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
– Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes
– Support Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance
– Post financial figures to journals and ledgers Job Requirements:
– Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
– Outstanding data entry skills
– Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
– AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
– Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
– Command of cash applications
– Treasury experience
