Accounting Clerk

Ref ID: 02920-0011450486 Classification: Accounting Clerk Compensation: $16.00 to $17.00 hourly Accountemps is looking to hire a skilled Accounting Clerk for a reputable non-profit organization.

The Accounting Clerk will primarily be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry, and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

This is a temporary-to-full-time position located in the Buffalo, New York area.

What you get to do every single day
– Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
– Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
– Submit financial figures to journals and ledgers
– Work with Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing Job Requirements:
– Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment
– Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R)
– Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
– Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
