What you get to do every day

– Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing

– Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required

– Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

– Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned

– Add financial information to journals and ledgers

– Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

– Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable

– Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes

Job Requirements:

– Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

– Proven knowledge of Ledger Reconciliations

– Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks

– Daily Bank Deposits experience

– Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

– Command of Accounts Payable (AP)

– Outstanding data entry skills

– AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

– 2+ years of accounting experience required
