The TMX Finance® Family of Companies is looking for an Accounting Clerk to become part of a team dedicated to successfully managing the financial aspects of our business.

As Accounting Clerk, you will receive, open, code, and log invoices to the Financial System and will be responsible for preparing and sending daily mail providing support to AP, General Ledger and Tax teams.

This position is in-office.

As the situation evolves, changes may be made to our practices, in line with state and local mandates as well as CDC-guidelines.

Essential Responsibilities
Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance.

A full-time work schedule for this position includes, at a minimum, 40-hours per week.

Receive and open incoming mail daily and scan necessary documents into the Financial System.

Mail checks and other necessary documents to suppliers.

Monitor email inboxes and print invoices into the Financial System as well as delegate any issues to the correct accounting team for resolution.

Scan high volumes of transactions and reports for electronic storage.

Index invoices that have been scanned and/or printed into the Financial System.

Input appropriate information and general ledger coding to invoices within the Financial System.

Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.

Research returned checks and invoice discrepancies/issues.

Assist with annual 1099 filing, obtaining W9s, and create new vendor IDs within the Financial System.

Protect organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

Support supervisory and executive staff by performing any other assigned accounting and clerical tasks.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum 1 year of administrative type work in an accounting or accounts payable environment Strong and accurate data entry skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Must demonstrate a “team player” attitude High attention to detail Excel knowledge required Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and occasionally outside of the office, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite Oracle experience
