Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant:
- Accounts payable duties, including entering and verifying invoices
- Basic journal entries (after training with Director of Accounting)
- Vendor management/customer inquiries about payment
- Electronic check deposit
- Ad hoc projects to support accounting team as necessary
Background Expected of the Accounting Assistant:
- 1-2 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, internship experience considered
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or experience equivalent
- Familiarity with any major ERP and Microsoft Excel
