The GL Team is responsible for carrying out the company’s financial close, ensuring the accuracy of general ledger accounts, administering sales and other taxes, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and leading and participating in process improvement activities.
The Support Analyst performs a wide range of duties wholly assigned to the role, as well as assisting management with varied tasks.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Monthly, quarterly, and year end close activities Prepare and posting of journal entries Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations Assistance with internal and external audit requests for information Participation in the improvement and documentation of financial and operational processes Ad-hoc reporting based on requests from management Develop and maintain effective relationships across functional teams to resolve any issues that arise Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Masters or CPA is a plus 1-3 years’ experience in accounting (i.e., general ledger, financial statement prep, audit, etc.) Strong knowledge of generally accepting accounting principles and internal controls Superior teamwork and problem-solving skills Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook and Word Experience working on ERP systems (e.g.
Great Plains, Hyperion, others) Ability to work with and meet deadlines Excellent oral/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills Detailed oriented
