Kūpono Government Services LLC is looking for a qualified Accountant II to support our contract with PMRF Koa Lani. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Accountant II provides senior level support to the Finance Department. Responsibilities include compiling and analyzing financial information to prepare entries and assist with reporting financials and in addition to analyzing trends, costs, revenues, etc. to predict future revenue and expense to management. Offers suggestions as appropriate. Summary of Duties/Responsibilities: * Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts. * Develop and document internal processes and workflows. * Audit contracts, purchase orders, vouchers, and prepare reports prior to settle. * Prepare invoices using Deltek accounting software and utilize WAWF website for invoices. * Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital. * Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and reports. * Assist with monthly reports into Excel spreadsheet for analysis. * Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors; and inconsistencies in financial entries. * Assist with yearend close and audit preparation. * Knowledge with FAR and JTR is preferred. * Prepare accounting schedules and reports. * CostPoint experience in various modules (Projects, Accounting, Personnel). * Records and posts vouchers; and accounts receivable. * Perform monthly billing and revenue posting. * Performance of utilizing the CostPoint tools to upload complex projects. * Review and assist with Accounts Receivable. * Post Cash Receipts in Cost Accounting System. * Annual Audits/DCAA, External Corporate etc. * Will be cross trained in other duties. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: * The ability to handle multiple projects or tasks, while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in an ever changing fast paced environment. * The ability to push things to an end and manage conflicts effectively. * The ability to work independently in an environment of rapid change. * An excellent written and verbal communication skill. * Is independent and confident and works well in a team environment. * Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures. * Relies extensively on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Must be accurate in both processes and content. DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT: * Bachelor’s Degree in directly related field required; Associates Degree required with at least 4 years of professional level accounting is acceptable in lieu of Bachelor’s degree. * Minimum of 3 years directly related experience required. CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance (Secret clearance).
