Accountant

We are the largest Material Handling Equipment Company in the Southwest. Naumann Hobbs Material Handling, Inc. sells, rents, services and supplies parts on an extensive line of material handling products. We are a solid employee owned company with 60+ years of business experience and over 100 million in annual sales.

Naumann Hobbs Material Handling has multiple companies, branches and a large volume of transactions. Currently we are looking for a new Accountant to join our team at our Corporate Office in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities / Experience:

General Accounting:

• Perform month end closing duties
• Prepare and post standard JE’s and other adjusting entries
• Generate and analyze all required monthly activity reports
• Assist Controller and CFO with daily operational procedures
• Intercompany activity and reconciliation
• Participation in monthly close cycle, ensuring monthly results are accurately presented
• Responsibility for managing fixed asset and depreciation.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for various accounting areas
• Participation in annual financial audit
• Special projects as assigned
• Sales tax & Inventory control experience is a plus

Education / Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting
• Experience in accounting software required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a general accounting position.
• Demonstrated experience in problem solving and process improvements

Process Improvements:

• Automate manual processes when the opportunity exists
• Identify and recommend efficiencies in workflow

Support Functions:

• Work as a member of a team
• Collaborate and build relationships with other department leaders to provide accounting and finance service
• Other items as assigned by Corporate Controller or CFO
• Resolve discrepancies/variances
• Research and analyze account detail activity
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting
