The Finance team at ACCEL Schools is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, School Finance, reporting to the Manager, FP& A.
This role will provide financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting for the K-12 Public School division and support all aspects of planning, analysis and reporting.This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining decision-support tools that optimize unit economics, serve as the liaison between Corporate Finance/Accounting and our field Finance partners and develop predictive models to support the Company’s growth strategy.This is a critical and challenging position.
The ideal candidate will be working with volumes of complex data and present clear conclusions and supporting evidence to aid strategic decision-making.
This candidate must be detail oriented and utilize data to tell a story.SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:* Liaison to State Fiscal Officer, responsible for timely delivery of budget and forecast submissions in coordination with individual School Board requirements* Serve as the finance partner to the various Regional Vice Presidents, owning their respective budgets and providing financial management oversight* Consolidation of business unit projections, including working with our field finance partners to compile, update and report business division results* Lead the monthly rolling forecast process; updating business unit models by adding historical data and working with the field finance partners to generate rolling forecast* Liaison to Corporate FP& A and Accounting, including the preparation of month-end close schedules in addition to monthly corporate reporting and analytics packages* Manage long range planning and cash flow model* Relentless in efforts to improve operational efficiencies.REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:* BA/BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or equivalent* 5+ years of relevant professional experience* Advanced Excel skills required; proficiency with SQL, Tableau, Adaptive, BI360, Office Connect and Great Plains strongly preferred* Experiencing leading and executing strategic, cross-functional initiatives with an organized approach that allows you to juggle multiple concurrent initiatives simultaneously* Advanced quantitative reasoning and critical thinking skills, with a firm foundation in economics, finance and statistical analysis* Strong leadership presence, refined communication and presentation skills, and the ability to collaborate successfully with executives and employees at all levels of the organization* The ability to influence up, down, and across the organization, explaining problems and proposing solutions in an easy-to-understand way* The ability to progress through a steep learning curve quickly and the perseverance to chip away at problems a piece at a time until you reach a breakthrough* Self-drive, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude* The ability to thrive in an environment that is fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and service-oriented#INDCP
